Video Guestbook

April 24, 2017

Guest books are a staple in weddings, and over the years the ideas for guest books have gotten more and more creative. People have used tree trunks, quilts, and even puzzle pieces for a guest book that matches their style. However, the guest book that will be focused on today lets you showcase your style and lets your guests showcase theirs, the video guestbook.

The video guest book allows your guests to leave you messages in a way they never have before. You can see their face, the joy and happiness written all over it as they “sign” your guest book.

Setting up the video guest book is very simple. It is a lot like a photo booth, just a designated area for your guests to leave their message. Not to mention, like a photo booth, there are so many ways to put your unique spin on this with props and backdrops. Your videographer will likely have backdrops for you to choose from. You could even set up a green screen with a custom backdrop or let your guests choose their own. The possibilities are very near endless.

To make sure everyone has an opportunity to “sign” your video guestbook, you may want to ask guests to stay under a time frame like 2 minutes. There might be a few extra special guests, like your parents, grandparents, or wedding party that you want to have a little bit longer to give their message, and that’s ok! Just make sure your videographer knows who those people are and try your best to make sure they are first in line.

Finally, make sure everyone know this is your guest book and not a photo booth. A cute sign will help them understand the reason for the video booth, and make sure they don’t miss out!

This guestbook preserves your guests and their messages unlike any other. You will be able to look back on their faces, smiles, and outfits years from now along with their message.
